Consumer

Phase 1 targets consumers with high caffeine usage, locked-in habits, and a preference for convenience-driven premium products.

The core early customer is male-skewed, typically in the 20–40 range, and is either a current snus user or a former snus user. This matters because they are already comfortable with the oral format and have a lower barrier to trying the product.

There will also be users who have never used pouches before, but that is a higher-friction segment. That adoption is more likely to come through word of mouth and peer introduction than through direct conversion from marketing or PR efforts.

Due to this, "where to play" is decided based on best performing modern oral product markets, where phase 1 & 2 focuses primarily on targeting the core user groups within those markets.

Core early segments:

  • gamers
  • performance athletes / fitness enthusiasts
  • "operators" (finance/trading/white collar/service professionals)
  • startup peeps / entrepreneurs
  • nightlife and late-night working groups

These consumers already understand the caffeine and are using pouches daily (or have used pouches before).

The key is giving them a format that fits their behavior better than drinks do - the familiar pouch ritual, just faster, cleaner and more discreet energy.

The High-Stakes Streamer

Profile: Gamer / Digital Creator (Ages 15–35).

Context: Locked into live sessions lasting 6–10 hours where split-second reactions are everything.

The Conflict: Energy drinks trigger sugar crashes mid-match, require constant bathroom breaks, and pose a spill risk to the workstation and peripherals.

The SZN Value: Sublingual uptake provides a steady energy flow with zero interruptions. The SZN tin on his desk is a tactical part of his "set-up" and a signal to his audience that he is officially locked in.

"The Operator"

Profile: Finance Analyst / Lawyer / Startup Founder / Chef / Waiter (Ages 20–40).

Context: High-pressure environments where image, discretion, and mental clarity are non-negotiable.

The Conflict: Walking into a boardroom with a neon-colored energy drink looks cheap and unprofessional. Coffee stains teeth and causes coffee breath before back-to-back client meetings. Busy hands in the restaurant / service occupation prohibiting drink usage.

The SZN Value: Total discretion. He maintains his edge under the radar. SZN is the sophisticated choice for those who need caffeine but refuse to compromise their professional profile.

The Performance-First Athlete

Profile: Long-distance Runner / Gym-goer / Footballer / Padel Enthusiast (Ages 20–40).

Context: High-intensity training where timing is everything and gut-load must be minimized.

The Conflict: Chugging pre-workout or coffee causes "sloshing," stomach cramps, and the "itch" during a heavy lift or run. Hydration must be calculated, and bulky drinks or messy powders are a distraction mid-session.

The SZN Value: Tactical delivery. He can pop a pouch during the warm-up, mid-set, or between miles for an immediate kick without taxing his digestive system, breaking his stride, or losing his pump. Zero bloat, total focus.

The Gut-Sensitive Optimizer

Profile: "Everyday-Joe" with gut issues (Ages 20–45).

Context: High-output individuals who suffer from gastritis, IBS, or "leaky gut" and avoid acidic and caffeinated beverages.

The Conflict: Caffeine is essential for his cognitive output, but coffee and energy drinks cause acid reflux, increased intestinal permeability and inflammation in his digestive tract.

The SZN Value: By bypassing the gastrointestinal tract and entering the bloodstream through the oral mucosa, he gets the focus without the side effects. SZN is his "clean energy" hack.

The Transitioning Veteran

Profile: Former or current nicotine user (Ages 20–35).

Context: Accustomed to the oral ritual and the pouch habit, but looking for a functional upgrade as a replacement.

The Conflict: Most nicotine-free alternatives feel like a step backward - they are flavorless or lack a mental payoff. He doesn't want to quit the habit; he wants to optimize it.

The SZN Value: SZN replaces the nicotine buzz with actual cognitive fuel (caffeine + b-vitamins). He sees SZN not as a cessation tool, but as a high-performance evolution of a familiar behavior.

What matters most in phase 1:

  • fast understanding of the proposition and value, why should I care?
  • willingness to reorder
  • establishing brand perception & start community-building
